The Story behind Uplyft Oils
Before oils were all the rage, I had been exposed to them. I had an Aunt, who I will affectionately describe as a hippy chick, smelled of them, every time I hugged her. As a young person, I just chalked it up to my aunt being my aunt. In the mid-2000’s I had two physical therapy patients who came in smelling of them. Later, I had a personal training client telling me she was so sore because she had run out of her joint rub, a blend of various essential oils. “Oh, ok, whatever, if you think those oils help your joints feel better, then I am sure that they do,” I thought.
In 2015, my best friend, who has her doctorate in physical therapy, told me she had stopped her husband’s snoring, with oils! What? How could my intellectual, science-minded best friend be sold on these oils? She explained to me that her husband starting putting a drop of oil called Valor on his big toe every night. And now only needed a drop every other night. I was intrigued. The breath-rite my husband wore wasn’t cutting it anymore. And sleeping on the coach didn’t help because I could still hear him.
So I was super excited when she gave me my very own bottle of Valor for my birthday. I told my husband to put two drops on his big toe as we got ready for bed. Thankfully, he was willing to try, even as he joked that his big toe was going to turn black. Our lives have been forever changed.
Carl’s snoring has dramatically decreased, and we have figured out that he can’t miss a night. He (well we) needs that purple magic drop every night.
So this is how I came to believe that there might be something to these oils.
Fast forward to 2016, I started sharing some of our favorite blends with clients and friends. Which has landed us here, offering them on my web site. I have been giving blends away to clients and friends as gifts for years. While my husband has been arming business associates with the Uplyft Immune Blend right before he and his team heads into a meeting where they are sure someone will be coughing or sneezing.
I have linked a few resources here if you have questions about the science behind oils. I am an evidence-based practitioner. That means I look at the research, critically think about the limits of the research. I also consider what I know from experience, then I base my decision putting the needs and best interest of my client or patient first.
I believe that oils have helped my family and many of my clients, friends, and family. I don’t rely on them for everything and still seek traditional medical treatment when needed. The oils only enhance traditional medical treatment.

Immune Uplyft
My husband has always been a germophobe. I believe that I have seen his heart rate go up when we walk into a hospital. He has driven me and the kids crazy chasing us around the house demanding we disinfect everything we touch at the first sign of a sniffle.
Immune Uplyft has changed all that. The blend of oils in this oil rub boosts your immune system. We use it in the morning, after a workout, before bed. I have a bottle in my car to put it on before going into a public place. This blend of oils helps your body do what it is designed to do.
Immune Uplyft contains eucalyptus, lemon, rosemary, clove and cinnamon, lemongrass, citronella, rosemary, lavandin, myrtle, and melaleuca, and lavender.
Liquid ZZZ’s
Originally Liquid ZZZ’s was developed from a Pinterest recipe called Liquid Xanax. I pinned it years before I ever felt a need for it. Then our family experienced what can be called some major growth opportunities and neither Carl or I were sleeping thru the night. We both would wake up with our minds racing and worrying. C’mon, you know the feeling? You know you are not going to solve it at 2:30 in the morning but you just can’t turn it off and go back to sleep.
We never had a hard time falling asleep, it was staying asleep or going to back to sleep once we woke up. As I reflect, I think I tried diffusing various lavender blends because that is proven to help you sleep, but Carl didn’t like the smell. And it wasn’t that we needed help falling asleep, we needed something to help fall back to sleep, helps us turn off our racing minds. So I pulled up my Pinterest board, found that Liquid “Xanax” recipe and tried it.
We slept! Lives changed again!
It seems to just turn off the noise in your brain. I have given it to clients that struggle with sleep and anxiety and they report that same thing. Carl gave it to a friend of ours, a total man’s man, big workout guy, don’t piss this guy off guy, he tried it. Called me the next day, “I need some more of that”
Liquid Zzzz’s contains lavender, spruce, frankincense, rosewood, balsam fir, blue tansy, vetiver, lemon, mandarin, rose, roman, chamomile, palmarosa, jasmine, rosewood, geranium, Ylang Ylang, grapefruit, tangerine, spearmint, blue cypress, royal Hawaiian sandalwood and bergamot.
